About us.
Welcome to Lowemond German Shepherds. My journey with German Shepherds began long before I decided to start this program-it started with a deep admiration with the breed’s intelligence, versatility, and unwavering loyalty. Over the years, that admiration grew into a commitment – not simply to own German Shepherds, but to preserve and protect the qualities that make this breed extraordinary.
With a strong background in advocacy and education, I bring a meticulous and thoughtful approach to every aspect of my program. I believe the role of a breeder is not simply to produce puppies, but to serve as a responsible steward of the breed. I believe in purposefully selecting breeding dogs based on their genetics, structure, health and temperament to produce well balanced, sound German Shepherds. Health and longevity are priorities, and our breeding dogs undergo extensive health testing, including hip and elbow evaluations, genetic screening, temperament and structural assessments. My goal is to maintain the integrity of the breed while continually striving for improvement in each generation.
Lowemond is not just a kennel-it is about preserving and enhancing the breed for future generations. My vision is to create a line of structurally sound, driven, and versatile German Shepherds that excel in both form and function. My dogs should embody everything that makes this breed extraordinary.
Lowemond is more than just a breeder; it is a passion project built on love, dedication, and the legacy of the dogs who came before-most notably, Leo and Luna, who remain at the heart of everything I do. My goal is to produce dogs that make exceptional family companions, performance partners, and ambassadors of the breed.
Our promise is simple: to leave the German Shepherd Dog stronger, healthier, and better for the generations that follow.

Lowemond German Shepherds is dedicated to the memory of Leo and Luna, two extraordinary companions who shaped our love for this breed. Their strength, loyalty, and unwavering love remain at the heart of our mission, and their legacy guides us as we continue to honor the breed we cherish.
At Lowemond, our mission goes beyond breeding healthy, high-quality German Shepherds. Our beloved dogs, Leo and Luna, inspire everything we do.They were family, teachers, and the inspiration behind the standards and philosophy that define our breeding program today.
Luna was tragically taken from us by Hemangiosarcoma, a fast-acting cancer that claimed her life all too suddenly. Leo courageously fought a two-year battle with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), a heartbreaking disease that ultimately took him from us. Their losses left a deep mark on our hearts, and we are committed to preventing other families from experiencing what we went through. They are a reminder of both the resilience of the German Shepherd Dog and the heartbreaking reality of inherited disease.
To honor their memory and the lessons we learned from them, Lowemond is dedicated to advancing the health and wellness of the German Shepherd breed. We believe in the power of research, testing, and education, and we are passionate about supporting efforts to find cures and treatments for the diseases that impacted our beloved dogs.
10% of Every Puppy Purchased Supports Research
In memory of Leo and Luna, we commit to donating 10% of every sale to support research into Degenerative Myelopathy, Hemangiosarcoma, and other inheritable diseases that affect the breed. These donations will go directly to organizations like the AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF), which is at the forefront of funding research into genetic testing, early detection, and potential treatments.
By choosing a Lowemond puppy, you are not only getting a healthy, well-bred companion, you are also joining us in the fight to improve the future of the German Shepherd breed.
